Our Spring Auction

The Spring Auction is summed up as a time of crazy fun.  Members are donating baked goods, new items around the house they don't need, gift certificates, baskets of goodies, even fun group events like dinners or day trips.  The auctioneer is a blast and everyone loves bidding for these treasurers.  Where else can you get a plate of Shirley's special fudge for $50.

Faith hosts their annual Fall Festival the first Saturday in October each year.  For weeks ahead members are coming up with ideas of things to make & donate.  They are sewing, carving, painting, and checking out their closets for clothing & Christmas decorations they no longer need.  The days before hand have them baking up a storm.  Members of Love Circle prepare hundreds of Apple Dumplings and batches of Love Soup to sell.  Peace Circle makes homemade pies and gooey rolls.

Day of...The church is sectioned off with several rooms designated for the sale of used clothing; the Bake Shop is filled with homemade cookies, bars, breads, cakes, etc.; The General Store has a variety of items from beautiful carvings & paintings, to fun Halloween items, homemade jellies, and other homemade items; The Re-card group has their cards for sale; the Used Christmas Items is filled with gently used Christmas Decorations; and the Dining Room is serving up hot apple dumplings & pecan rolls for breakfast and hot sandwiches, salads and pie for lunch.

Proceeds from the sale go to non-budget items needed for the church.
